Holiday Ready with JD Williams | Style

As part of my paid collaboration with JD Williams this month, I was invited to select a few pieces to make up a capsule holiday wardrobe. We all like to pick up a few new bits when going away and JD Williams is a great one stop shop for everything from dresses and jumpsuits to amazing slimming swimwear and gorgeous beach coverups. I had no problem finding a few pieces to feature on here.
When packing for holidays, dresses are my go-to because I find separates bulky and have to think too much about how to combine them to get the most wear. Dresses are easy to pack and can be dressed up or down for a variety of occasions so let's start my picks with this stunning red leaf print dress.
It's bardot style with a dipped hem at the back - my favourite style as I don't like how short dresses can scoot up at the back in an unflattering way.

Wearing this dress with some JDW Trainers that I've had since I worked with the brand back on this previous blog post. They're leather and plain white, which makes them great for wearing with anything and everything. Lots of you tell me you don't want go faster stripes or leopard on your trainers and this is the pair I recommend to everyone.

Key to packing lightly is to pack one bag that can be used on the flight, on the beach and out and about on holiday and this wicker bag is perfect. It's just the right size for all of these scenarios and you can see here that it works perfectly with all of my outfits.
Second key to capsule packing is to bring just 2 pairs of shoes. Trainers for travelling in and for walking longer distances and a single pair of sandals that you can use day and night. And these are the perfect sandals to tick that latter box.
Leather Strappy Sandals (wearing the size 7)
I've been so impressed by JD Williams footwear since I started working with them. These sandals are leather AND the E fitting is in the sale - so comfortable too. I did need to make an extra hole in the strap to make them more snug across my heel but that was easily done with a nail and hammer (life hack)

Which brings me on nicely to this black jersey maxi dress which ticks all the holiday boxes.
Wearable on the plane, out at night or during the day, this soft maxi dress can be worn alone or over swimwear or a vest (as I've worn it here). It's lovely and loose on the top half too which makes it cool to wear. I adore the simplicity of this dress and it can be rolled up into ball and unpacked at the other side to instantly wear.

Sticking with black, this floral frock is a bit dressier with a wrap detail on the front and a floaty sleeve detail. Perfect for evenings out while on holiday..
And I'm finishing my capsule with the beach gear and for this I've chosen two wonderfully flattering pieces. My swimsuit is the Magisculpt Shaping Swimsuit which gets really good online reviews. Even though I'm a size 10-12, I do have a twin pregnancy tummy that I'm conscious of so this helps to give me a smooth and sleek silhouette. It's a bit of a wriggle to get on - but I sized up to a 12 to make it a little easier to put on.
Magisculpt Shaping Swimsuit - wearing the size 12
There are two great things about this swimsuit - firstly it has a padded bust, which gives you a bit of a lift and in the case of a pear shape like me, it helps to balance out the proportions. Secondly, it comes in a long (as well as regular) torso fitting....alleluia! This is my biggest bugbear when it comes to one piece swimwear because I'm long in the body and they so often feel too stretched on me and squish my boobs flat! This swimsuit fits absolutely beautifully. If, like me, you've been looking for a great one piece that will stand the test of time and make you feel confident, this is the one. Bravo JD Williams!

Finishing with my favourite piece, this gorgeous chain print beach cover-up...
I loved the colours and the print and it's also wearable as a maxi dress with a slip underneath, making it much more useful than a traditional open front beach coverup. It's also fab for holidays as it rolls up tiny and doesn't crease a bit.

Hope you enjoyed my mini capsule holiday wardrobe from JD Williams. Links are all affiliate which means JD Williams know you came to their website from here. Thanks for supporting the brands that support this blog.
